STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

It is essential for a young athlete to have fun while they train. Parents of young athletes need an assurance that age appropriate learning is suitable for a developing athlete. For grass-root sports to develop it is important to work on the physical development of young athletes. As the young (6-12) and teenage (13-19) athletes go through multiple changes in life it is essential to make similar changes in the way they train and the food they consume.
In order to prepare these athletes for the future it is important to keep them injury free. When athletes specialize in a sport and train all year round, they are at an increased risk of injury.
With recognition of early sport specialization playing a pivotal role in the athlete’s progress, It is important to ensure that athletes are well rounded and competent to perform their sports activities in the safest manner possible.
With the help of S&C these athletes become more balanced, strong, well developed and have lesser chances of injury. S&C also plays a pivotal role in significantly enhancing the athlete’s strength through programs which use a variety of age related resistance training exercises.
A holistic approach is required to train these athletes keeping in mind their age, growth, maturity and training level while assigning them a program.
The S&C coach will ensure that the athlete is efficient in all their movements and not just sport specific skill based movements. It is important to ensure that the athlete does not burn out earlier in their careers as they are pushed to their limits.
